Terrific early "A Merry Christmas", with wonderful patriotic Santa flying two American flags in his decorated sleigh. Lots of great details, good reindeer with bells on their harness, nice little village below. Presents in the sleigh include toy soldiers, dolls, a trumpet and a drum, horses, balls, and a tennis racquet. Lovely sky with delicate coloring. Circa 1906.

Super view of WWI-era Santa in dirigible over North America, flying large American flag, probably published in 1914, the year the Canal was opened. Santa is looking down through binoculars at what looks like a bottleneck of ships (presumably carrying presents - but not as fast as SANTA!) at the Panama Canal. Nice starry sky, moon. Presents inside the dirigible include a sailboat and a drum. Marvelous!

Wonderful 1900s "Merry Christmas" image with Santa riding a rocking horse, carrying a decorated Christmas tree and with a wicker basket filled with toys, including an American flag. Lovely red and green holly berries and leaves, stars and a sliver of a moon in the sky. Note the lit windows of the building (church? house?) in the back ground. Absolutely wonderful image!

Marvelous image of Santa in a dirigible dropping a sack of toys into a chimney. Santa is in a wicker easy chair, and has a larger sack of toys on his lap. Note the icicles on the chimney, lovely holly berries and leaves. Lots of gold highlights. Interesting mountainous background with full moon, reindeer standing to far right under moon. Card says "Up to Date Xmas Greetings." Copyright 1909, our card is postmarked 1910.

Hysterical "Thanksgiving Greetings", circa the 1910s or so. I love this image! Small child holds the ribbon reins of a turkey-drawn cart filled with fruits and vegetables (look at the corn!) and an American flag. What really makes this image so great is the daisy spokes on the wheels. Too fun!!
