  Lovers from the Jungle: Tigers
Code: Tigers1
$0.00
Marvelous view of a tiger couple: "Suggestions for Lovers from the Jungle: Sit a little closer dear." Just look at those expressions of jolly contentment. I love her safari hat with the crossed bones, and his cute short jacket and bamboo cane. Too fun!!! Then there's the crazed mandrill off to the left. (Thanks to my friend Len for the identification!) What's THAT all about???

  Lovers from the Jungle: Lions
Code: Lions1
$0.00
Excellent entry in the "Lovers from the Jungle" series! This Lion couple looks cozy, under a full moon with a parrot in the tree to the right. They are both wearing great hats, and I like the Lady Lion's blue polk dot bow. The sentiment is: "I hope these Lines will find you well." Circa 1909 or so. Wonderful!

  Lady and Tiger
Code: LadyandTiger
$0.00
An interesting real photo view of a lady posed with a tiger skin. Postmarked 1911.

  Who's Afraid?
Code: Tiger10
$0.00
Not this child, perched as he (or she!) is confidently standing on the head of a very aggressive looking tiger! Postmarked 1914. I like the way all the tiger's teeth and claws are lovingly drawn.

  Measurably High Ideals
Code: Teddy5
$0.00
Yet another terrific art nouveau Teddy Roosevelt quote, this one accompanied by a lion, and postmarked 1915: "We believe that our ideals should be high, but no so high as to make it impossible to measurably realize them." Copyright notice by John Geyer, 1910. The neat thing about it, as a postcard collector, is that Mr. Geyer more than likely made at least six of this series, and maybe even twelve, so I've got at least one more card to look forward to finding.
