		Greetings from MASSACHUSETTS Code: MA0003 $0.00 Attractive large letter linen "Greetings from MASSACHUSETTS," circa the 1940s or so. Shows lots of scenes of regional interest inside the large letters, and a nice overview of the State itself. Those flowers - as everybody knows - are trailing arbutus, commonly called the mayflower. 		State of Massachusetts Girl Code: MA0001 $0.00 This is such a fun image! Bespeckled young woman in scholarly cap and robes holds a copy of Euclid. Circa the 1900s. Like the "State of Maine" girl in the bright green dress, the Massachusetts girl's robes are real silk on the actual embossed paper postcard. This is the State Girl series published by the famous Langsdorf & Sons postcard publishing company, and it is a testimony to the exceptional quality of their cards that the silk on this card is completely intact and unraveled. Langsdorf also brought us the famous Alligator Border series, as well as many of the Shell Borders, and the very wonderful (and pricey) Uncle Sam Santa cards. I saw an Uncle Sam Santa hold-to-light go for $1900 the other day on ebay. Quantity in Basket: none

My friend, the artist Valerie Zint, was a big fan of the Sox back in the late 1970s, in the day of Louis Tiant, and I know she was looking down from heaven this year, saying "Finally!"
