Terrific 'poster style' image of a promotional postcard for the Fourth Annual Rose Festival in Portland, Oregon, June 6th-11th, 1910. Really wonderful fantasy image of a young lady in a green Grecian-style dress, being carried aloft in a peacock contraption embowered in roses. Note the biplane and the hot air balloon to the left of the image, and the happy crowd at the bottom. Greater Portland is below, with Mount Hood in the distance. Those 1915 San Francisco Panama-Pacific Exposition cards are very reminiscent of this style, which are so very modern in their own way.
