Boy howdy, talk about RARE! Here's a super rare Greetings from Rockingham image, better known as the "Rockingham Butterfly Girl," postmarked 1908. An early precursor of the large letter linen, this wonderful Art Nouveau Butterfly Girl features four views of Rockingham inset in her wings. These views are: Cotton Mills No. 1, Great Falls Cotton Mills, View on Hedge Cock Creek, and Dam at Pee Dee Cotton Mills. All this leads someone to believe a whole lot of cotton was produced in Rockingham!
