Love this "Pride of the Plains" Wyoming State Girl, by famous British publisher Raphael Tuck & Sons, circa the 1900s. This young woman is wearing a red and white ginham shirt, gray skirt, black bow, and gray hat. She's holding a spray of (what I think is) spruce with cones, and a small bouquet is pinned in her hat. And then there's the handsome deer... What I want to know is - is there a body attached to that head? This is a great image.

This 1940s linen image "Out in Old Wyoming" certainly has a contemporary feel. At a 'typical' Wyoming bar you have the fierce, manly gunslinger with the shot glass and the stein glaring at the demure dude with the limp wrist and the fancy gloves who's drinking milk. Note the brass knuckles and the 6-gun under the bar, the bottles next to them (tequila, anyone?!), the deer head over the door, and the rope that makes up the lettering. Hmmm...
