The Merkel Butterfly Girl
Code: TX7231
$0.00
Great Butterfly Girl from Merkel, Texas, postmarked 1908. Shows scenes of local interest inside the butterfly's wings. They are: South Side School, the Methodist Church, a Residence, and a Street Scene. The message is cute. "Still dry and hot, no rain since Sunday. Cotton looking fine. No new worms yet but lots of Millers." Either a Miller is some kind of pest, or it's some kind of pest. If anybody from Merkel sees this image I wish they'd email me and tell me and congratulate me for finding such a rare image!
