The quintessential art deco diner is Johnny's Diner, with its simple lines and stainless steel exterior. Great linen view, circa the early 1950s or so.

Bob Miller's Restaurant, Joplin
Code: MO1181
$0.00
Great linen view of Bob Miller's Restaurant in Joplin, circa the 1940 or so, showing the facade and the interior with the counter and the booths. "Food You Will Remember." I also like the mural that was above the prep area; wonder what that was all about!!

Terrific and fun vertical linen view of Jimmie's Celebrated Restaurant, "The Ace of Places," circa the 1940s or so. Great bar area with the dramatic floor and matching barstools and 'modern' light fixtures. Lots of burgundy, cream, and blue.

Steve's Restaurant
Code: Steves
$0.00
Anybody know where this was? It's a great image, but unfortunately I scanned this from a friend's collection and neglected to write down where Steve's was located. Duh. Still, what a super image with all the legible signage and good cars. "Steve's Restaurant" served "Breakfasts," "Lunches," and "Dinners, served "Good Food" and a lot of "Coca-Cola" (three signs!), and you were "Welcome" when it was "Open." Nice details on the bricks, and pretty sky.

Lee's Grill
Code: Lees
$0.00
Great deco linen view of the interior and exterior of Lee's Grill, circa the 1940s or so. The only problem I have with this view is that I don't have the foggiest notion where "Lee's" was, since I scanned this card from a friend's collection and forgot to write down its location. Just like a guy to think your own (first!) name was enough!
